John Deere redesigns Landscape Loader
Landscape Loader The new John Deere 210LJ Landscape Loader has been redesigned from the ground up with a Tier 3-certified engine and a cab option that makes it even more versatile and productive.
In addition to the new cab option, the 210LJ features a turbocharged, Tier 3-certified John Deere PowerTech E 4045HT engine with increased horsepower (84 hp on the 210LJ vs. 80 hp on the previous unit), new 3-point hitch controls and a PTO option. The redesigned John Deere 210LJ also sits a full 12 inches lower than key competitor machines, enabling it to grade under eaves of existing structures.
The 210LJ operator’s station has been completely re-engineered with comfort and productivity in mind. A wider platform greets the operator, with more legroom and ample room to move with the new seat, which turns 10 degrees to the left for easy entry and exit and swivels 45 degrees to the right for an enhanced view of rear working tools.
Cherokee Introduces Self-Dumping Bins
Self-Dumping Bins Construction companies gain productivity and a safer working environment with new self-dumping bins distributed by Cherokee Erecting. The new contractor-designed product comes in one-, two-, three- and four-yard models. An ingenious mechanism keeps workers out of dumpsters and speeds unloading with the self-dumping feature.
The new Cherokee design offers a sloped side for ease of loading and offers hands-off dumping after the loaded bin is attached to the crane. Once the loaded self-dumping bin is lowered into a construction site dumpster, the crane operator cables down allowing the lifting arm to lay back. When the arm reaches the back of the bin, there is a dog bone which swivels to lock the arm in place. The crane operator can then cable up to dump the debris. The bin is then carried away in the vertical position to the next location. When it’s lowered to the ground, the slope on the front automatically lays it into the correct position. Then construction personnel can remove it from the hoisting mechanism.
Bergkamp introduces EMCAD slurry seal/microsurfacing paver
EMCAD Bergkamp Inc. of Salina, Kan., has introduced its new EMCAD system on its advanced M310 slurry seal/microsurfacing paver. EMCAD - which stands for Electronic Mix Control and Diagnostic system - allows contractors to quickly evaluate their production and make adjustments, while the machine is working, to more accurately calculate their bottom line and execute the job.
The EMCAD system simplifies material calibration and shows current and average material ratios, total material used and material rates to efficiently track costs and production. This advanced system also assists with onboard control troubleshooting, and comes standard on Bergkamp’s new M3 Series and is optional on its M1 full-size continuous paver.
The Variable Width Spreader Box, which works on slurry seal/microsurfacing pavers, is the only product of its kind in the industry. Its width expands and contracts while placing the material, providing flexibility for any shape job.
