CDi named a new president and principals
CDi named a new president and principals CDi Engineers announced
several promotions at its Lynnwood, Wash. office. Richard
D. Moeller, P.E., is the new president of CDi Engineers.
Moeller has been a principal at CDi since joining the firm
in 1996, and has been instrumental in developing the firm's
healthcare engineering services group. He is active in local,
regional, and national professional healthcare organizations
and is a LEED Accredited Professional. Moeller takes over
the position from Paul M. Dias,
P.E., founder of CDi Engineers, who remains a principal of
the firm.
Promoted to principals of the firm are: Norman
J. Brown, P.E., Richard C. Gerber,
P.E., and James R. Grimm, P.E.
Brown has been with CDi Engineers since 1998 and was promoted
to associate in 2000. Gerber joined CDi in 2003 as an associate,
and provides business development services for many of the
firm's key market sectors, as well as project management oversight
for healthcare projects, most recently for several projects
for Providence Health System in Portland, Ore. Grimm, an associate
of the firm since 2002, joined CDi in 1997, and has been active
in CDi's healthcare services group. The firm also named Melissa
Neuharth, P.E., Mathew Wies,
P.E. and Brigette Arnold, P.E.
in the structural division and Carrie
Keating, P.E. in the civil division to the project
manager position.
Neuharth joined CDi Engineers in 1999 as a project engineer.
In her new role as project manager, Neuharth is working on
a variety of projects including Kirkland Park, a multi-family
mixed use project in Kirkland, Wash. and Villas at Kahoma,
a condo project in Lahaina, Hawaii. Wies, who has more than
eight years of engineering experience, began as a project
engineer at Cdi Engineers in 2000. He is currently the project
manager on projects that include the Meridian Medical Center
in Seattle and the hotel expansion for the Tulalip Casino
Hotel in Marysville. Keating has more than 12 years of civil
engineering experience and started as a project Engineer at
CDi Engineers in early 2002.
Arnold started as a project engineer for DCI Engineers in
2004. She has eight years of engineering experience to draw
upon as a recent project manager.
Sparling hired the following people to work in its Lynnwood
office. Spencer Bahner is an
associate and Information Technology/RF Consultant with 23
years of professional experience in radio communications system
design, construction, and operation in various commercial
and governmental settings. He is leading an effort to increase
the range of enhanced wireless technology services to Sparling
clients.
David Concepcion has a strong
administrative background with an emphasis on project management
and production assistance. Electrical designer Scott
Gore brings eight years experience as an electrical
engineer and designer to Sparling.
Christopher L. Peterson, LEED®
Acc-redited Professional, joined Cierra as a senior project
manager. Petersen has ten years of experience emphasizing
large-scale retail developments and other commercial projects.
At Cierra, he will manage the electrical design for the $70
million expansion of the Tulalip Casino in Marysville. The
project includes convention facilities, retail, restaurants
and a 400-room hotel tower.
Parker, Smith and Feek announced the appointments of Chuck
Szopa to the position of chairman of the Board and
Gregory Collins as the chief executive officer. Szopa joined
the firm when he opened the Anchorage office. He will continue
to manage Alaska operations. Collins has held various senior
management positions.
Lease Crutcher Lewis (Lewis) announced the promotion of Janice
Westcott to marketing manager for the firm's Portland
office. Having served as marketing coordinator since 2001,
Westcott has been instrumental in the successful pursuit of
several new contract awards and new market initiatives, and
has increased the firm's visibility with her public relations
and community outreach efforts. In addition, she has served
two consecutive terms on the board of directors for the SMPS
Oregon chapter overseeing membership recruitment and retention.
The Graham Group of companies hired James
B. Lampe as preconstruction services manager in its
growing Puget Sound office. Lampe has over thirty-five years
of local experience in the construction industry having held
senior positions with Baugh Construction, Waterfront Construction
and Northlake Associates. Lampe's experience covers a wide
range of significant projects in the Pacific Northwest including
Bellevue Place and Bellevue Square.
Tom Boysen has joined University
Mechanical Contractors, Inc. as a project executive. Boysen
brings over 13 years of mechanical project management, operations
and design experience. His experience includes hospitals,
data centers, mixed-use and high-rise buildings. David
Johanson has joined the firm as the manager of client
services, industrial division. Warren
Rose has come aboard with University Mechanical Contractors,
Inc. as a project engineer, with 14 years background including
machinist, machine shop supervisor and mechanic. He will graduate
from the University of Washington Construction Management
program this year. C.V Nguyen
has joined University Mechanical Contractors, Inc. in the
capacity of estimator. University Mechanical Lise
Van Deusen is now the marketing coordinator.
Core Design, a planning/civil engineering/surveying firm
located in Bellevue, announced the addition of Earl
Morriss, to their Survey staff. Morriss' work for private
sector clients includes single and multi-family housing developments
in several local cities and counties, including the Verona,
Capri and Sienna condominiums and the Verona Division 2 single-family
subdivision at Lakeland. Morriss is currently working on projects
at Redmond Ridge in King County and Tambark Creek in Snohomish
County. In addition, Phil Sarandos
and Shawn McDonald have joined
Core Design's engineering staff.
